The relationship between citizens and knowledge of political reality has a paradoxical aspect. In a self-respecting democracy, everyone should have a sufficient understanding of how the political system works, how political actors interact, and what results political activity yields. Instead, disinterest in the subject is growing, and the number of people who claim to understand nothing about politics is notable. At the same time, in an age of disinformation, filter bubbles, confirmation bias, and populism, everyone seems to have an opinion on public affairs, but many of the political opinions we hear in our daily lives are based on a poor understanding of the political system or a manipulated interpretation of political reality. And we could add—more paradoxes—that we tend to find politics complex or boring, but that at certain times it also generates a lot of interest.

Faced with this situation, and as a complement to the dissemination of the research we conduct on Andorran politics, AR+I is committed to multiplying the dissemination of generalist information about Andorran politics through as many channels as possible. To give coherence to all these actions, we will group them under a common umbrella, PIPA, the Information Point on Andorran Politics. The main objective? To demystify politics, and Andorran politics in particular, and to provide the public with general knowledge about Andorran politics through multiple channels and in multiple languages.

Thus, on one hand, we will open channels to disseminate information about essential aspects of our system and our political reality, both in collaboration with media outlets and through our own channels (for example, we are preparing a Substack channel to offer quick-context briefs for relevant news about Andorran politics).

On the other hand, we will answer all inquiries we receive about general aspects of Andorran politics (from local and international media, professors, students, foreign embassies in Andorra, political actors, etc.) and, in addition to linking them, we will group them into an inventory or a set of frequently asked questions, so they are available to the widest possible audience.
