Govern incorporates the ARGOS multi-risk tool to strengthen prevention and emergency management

The Government of Andorra, through the Department of Civil Protection and Emergency Management, has taken a step forward in modernizing its working capabilities with the incorporation of the ARGOS technological tool, a leading multi-risk platform that improves prevention, monitoring, and response to emergency situations.

“We are very pleased because a project that we started three years ago with the launch of an international technological innovation challenge, after carrying out the implementation and support and helping in the development of the ARGOS solution during this time, this platform has become a fundamental operational tool for national emergency services,” said Laura Trapero, head of research at Andorra Investigación + Innovación.

Both parties highlighted the importance of collaboration between the two institutions. The pilot test demonstrates that “applied research can be translated into concrete tools that are useful to the population, in this case for the prevention and management of natural risks,” explained Trapero.
