ENoLL Wins European Association Award for Event Innovation thanks to the OpenLivingLab Days 2025, Co-organised by Andorra Research + Innovation in Andorra
The European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) has been awarded the 2026 European Association Award in the category of Event Innovation, a distinction granted by the European Society of Association Executives (ESAE) that recognises excellence and creativity within the European association sector.
The award acknowledges the 2025 edition of the Open Living Lab Days (OLLD25), held in Andorra la Vella from 30 September to 3 October 2025, and co-organised by Andorra Research + Innovation (AR+I) ?????? the Andorra Living Lab project.
The 2025 edition of the OpenLivingLab Days stood out as one of the most distinctive editions of this annual international event, as Andorra is the only country-scale living lab in the world certified by ENoLL as a national innovation living lab. Since its creation in 2022, the Andorra Living Lab has been recognised and certified by ENoLL.
Through the Living Lab of Andorra Research + Innovation (AR+I), and in alignment with the National Plan for Innovation and Diversification, initiatives such as this week’s event have been promoted for several years: attracting international talent to develop and validate solutions to current challenges in real-life environments. Within this framework, Andorra is consolidating its position as a living laboratory where innovation is co-created, tested, and refined under real conditions of use, with a direct impact on the territory and society.
The Andorra Living Lab is a space for coordination, research, design, and validation of innovation projects that brings together all stakeholders within a shared ecosystem, enabling the development of new products and services, as well as fostering the adoption of new technologies and encouraging in-depth reflection on their implications.
Over three intensive days, the congress hosted 16 sessions, 21 workshops, and 45 research presentations, complemented by three side events, five on-site visits, and networking activities, with more than 350 participants from 45 nationalities.
AR+I played a central role in the conception and organisation of the event, advocating for an innovative format that integrated the Andorran context—its scientific, business, and natural ecosystem—as an active setting for discussion and experimentation. It is precisely this forward-looking vision that has now been recognised at the European level.
The award was presented during the European Association Summit held in Brussels on 26 March 2026.
For AR+I, this distinction represents international recognition of Andorra’s capacity to host and lead high-level events in research and innovation, and further strengthens the positioning of the Andorra Living Lab as a benchmark within the European Living Labs ecosystem.
